THIS BICYCLE IS UNIQUE Ð A MTB set up for road use with many old-skool parts long out of circulation

 

Suntour XC Pro Microdrive  GreaseGuard 7-speed cassette hubs (and 11-24 cassette)

Avid Tri-Align cantilevers (silver, but has one black front plate and diff. colour spring)

White Industries chainset (biggest chainring is 44t Gold Sugino) / White Industries Ti bottom bracket

1Ó IRD Expedition Triple-Clamp forks with Ti steerer  / black painted steel blades (underneath is red paint from previous paint job).

Crown has small extra hole drilled in front for mudguard

1Ó King Aheadset (black, lower cup worn flat on rear) / Modolo SSC Pro drop bars (dark grey anodizing)

Campagnolo Chorus 8-spd Ergo levers / Sachs Quarz rear derailleur  / Suntour XC Pro MD front derailleur

Zoom seatpost (anodized black Ð inside seatpost hangs a piece of brake cableÉ)   Avocet O2 Air 40M saddle

Ringle Anti-Chainsuck Thing (black, bolted on chainstays behind seat tube)

 

AND MORE Ð Cinelli mini-tri bar extensions with strap-on neoprene grips/elbow rests on hÕbar tops, Klick-fit bar bag attachment system, handlebar plugs have big red LEDs, headset protected by neoprene stretch covers, derailleurs covered with Grunge Guard rubber boots, Gore cables throughout (yellow liners for gear cables and yellow boots above cable hanger), cranks had Syncros SE bolts (with gold surround), Cateye Cordless transmitter, Blackburn clamps on forks for mudguard attachment, 2x King SS bottle cages, rims are FIR 122 Ceramico (no identifying marks, however), front hub has extra-large wheel nut ends, rear mudflap has red reflective triangle. BB/chainset clearance is virtually nil, some scratch marks due to chainsuck on chainstay, fork blades have had security tangs ground awayÉ

 

THE WHEELS, SEATPOST AND STEM WERE SECURED WITH PITLOCK SECURITY QRs

 

THE FRAME IS ALSO UNIQUE Ð 17Ó MRC titanium, bead-blasted, without any obvious markings, but with original u-brake mounts on seat stays behind cantilevers (canti bosses and riveted-in rack bosses on seat stays added recently). Serial number H17077. Finish is worn shiny about halfway down seat tube. The bottom bracket shell has recently been ground down from 80mm to 73mm. There are also a few shiny patches on the top tube. Oversize down tube, otherwise all Sandvik straight tubes, straight-gauge 3/2.5.
